Six Kandyan artefacts to return home from the Netherlands after more than two centuries.

The Department of National Museums marked the first working day of 2026 on 1st January with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Director General, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. Subsequently, the Oath of Public Servants was read aloud to reaffirm the dedication and commitment of the staff to their public duties.
